Drop-Leaf Endtable: Your Turn to Help!

Drop-Leaf Endtable: Your Turn to Help!

This drop-leaf table was offered as scrap wood!

Can you believe it? The owner was getting rid of this because it was broken. But I had to save it — her husband made it back in shop class!

Here’s what it looked like when I picked it up.

Yes, it had a broken foot, some chips, and the bracket arms that hold the leaves up had fallen off. But that’s hardly a reason to trash a perfectly good handmade table!

The repairs were quick!

I screwed the leaf support brackets back on. Then I glued and clamped the broken foot in place. And the chips will be easily disguised with wood filler. So now what?

That’s where you come in!

We’re adopting this little guy together to save him from the landfill, and I’m looking for your suggestions. I’m planning to stain the top with Minwax® in “Espresso,” just like this table.

But the paint color for the base is up to you!

Here are your Farmhouse® paint choices. Chime in on my contact page or my Instagram (@serendipitysequelsmn) by September 5th to tell me your pick for the paint color. I’ll use the color with the highest number of votes.

Let’s rescue this little cutie together!
